Thinks have been quiet on the competing front but in the background there have been big changes.
The largest change saw the selling of the Mk2 Escort. The mounting cost of parts and the frustration of having to search high and low for any spare finally drove Clive to part with the beloved Escort, but fear not! It has already been replaced! After looking at several cars he eventually ended up with a Sierra Cosworth. Although currently in tarmac spec, this is a step up in performance from the Escort and will hopefully allow us to be more competetive. The car is presently being given a once over and having some changes made to it as well as general tarting up and hopefully we'll have it our later in the year.
The Metro engine re-build is finally completed and we're looking to get it out and the earliest opportunity... the problem is the lack of rallys at this time of the year! The car isn't really suitable for rougher rallies and the only tarmac ones this time if year tend to be larger events - not really what we want to give the car a run out!
